Rashi Narula
Principal – CBS, Palam Vihar
She has been in the field of education for the last 33 years. She started her career
from St. Anthony’s School, Agra in 1972 & moved on to become a Principal of St.
Paul’s KG & Day School, Kolkata in 1996. Married to an Army Officer took her to
a number of places across the length & breadth of the country & thus she gained
experience of teaching in 10 different kinds of Schools, ranging from orphanages
to the best of Public & Convent Schools. This experience gave her a lot of confidence,
courage & rich knowledge of various cultures & customs of our country.
After working as Principal for 5 years with St. Paul’s KG & Day School, she took
over another elite School of Kolkata, - Mahadevi Birla Girls’ Higher Secondary School,
& was there for 5years before she moved to Chiranjiv Bharati School, Palam Vihar,
Gurgaon, in 2006.
Her belief is that every child is special & that makes us responsible to see that
each child grows to be a special personality in his or her chosen field. Her vision
is that her School should provide the best of everything even to those students
who are first generation learners & do not have enough means to achieve the best
thus making CBS PV the best School in Gurgaon.
She was awarded 'CBSE Teachers Award 2004' by Honourable HRD Minister, Shri Arjun
Singh on 4th September 2005. This is a prestigious award given by Central Board
of Secondary Education to 12 Principals & Teachers every year. She was honored by
‘Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad,’ Kolkata for contribution in the field of education.
She was appointed by Chairman CBSE, as Co-ordinator Exams & Spot Evaluation of Kolkata
region. Her work as a coordinator was commended by Regional Office CBSE, Allahabad
in Feb 2005. Secretary of Sahodaya Schools Complex (CBSE Schools) - Kolkata Chapter.
She was Joint Vice President of AISISC (an association of ICSE schools) for 2 continuous
years. She is on the panel of CBSE to inspect schools for Affiliation & up-gradation.
She has Co-authored a series of English book, ‘Once upon a Time' for primary classes,
published by Arya Book Depot. She had successfully trained students in 1993-94 for
"Centrafest" a Cultural programme contest for selected elite schools of Pune. She
attended a Training programme on "Strategic Leadership" at IIM Ahmedabad in 2007.
She was President of the College Students' Union of Womens' Training College, Agra,
while doing B.Ed.
