Shantanu Prakash
CEO- Educomp Solutions Ltd
Founder of India’s first K-12 education solutions company in 1994, Shantanu Prakash,
Managing Director of Educomp Solutions Limited is IIM-Ahemadabad alumni. His vision
was to transform the teaching-learning process through the use of technology. His
dynamic pursuit of technology enabled education has resulted in Educomp becoming
the No 1 education company in India reaching out to over 4 million learners with
operations in the US and South East Asia Shantanu is also the founder and Managing
Trustee of the Learning Leadership Foundation (LLF) an organization dedicated to
bringing best practices in education to under-resourced schools. LLF is setting
up a chain of K-12 schools across India.
Shantanu is also a member of the Board of Globio, an international non-profit organization
based in Portland, USA that focuses on the area of bio-diversity in education as
well as the founder of Education Quality Foundation of India (EQFI) a non profit
body focused on setting up national quality standards for benchmarking schools and
helping them move up the quality value chain.
Mr. Sharad Agarwal
President – Schools & Professional Education
Mr. Sharad Agarwal did his B.Tech from IIT Kanpur in Electrical Engineering College
& PGDBM from IIM Ahmedabad. He started his career in Tata Economic Consultancies
Services. He also worked in Maruti Udyog Limited for one year. In 1990 he established
Spectra Group of companies which are manufacturers of Precision Springs, Diesel
Engine Products like Rocker Arms Shafts, Rocker Arms assemblies and Push Rods.
Spectra group currently has a turnover of Rs 45Crores with 52% exports to International
OEM’s in the world like Caterpillar. The plants at present are in Ghaziabad and
Hyderabad.
Spectra group has now a Joint venture with Kato Springs (Part of Adavnex group)
a leading spring manufacturer in the world and Kasuya Seiko for Rocker arms.
From January 2008, He is the President of Professional Education & training Division
which is a new division of Educomp Solutions Ltd in the Vocational and Skill Development
area.
Mr. Agarwal is also elected as Secretary of the Ghaziabad Management Association
(Affiliated to AIMA).
Mrs. Mahrukh Singh
Director – School Projects
Mrs. Mahrukh Singh Director, School Projects is a renowned educationist who has
contributed effectively towards value based innovations in school education for
almost three decades and has also conducted numerous workshops for Teachers and
Principals across the country. She has also participated and presented many papers
on Education in national and international conferences. She has initiated many international
student exchange and cross cultural programs to spread the message of peace friendship
and goodwill. She has a great love for music and has qualified from the Trinity
College of Music, London in Pianoforte. A versatile person, besides English she
is also fluent in Hindi, Gujarati and Telugu.
Mrs. Mahrukh Singh served as Principal of The Mother’s International School, New
Delhi for almost ten years. Under her leadership the school was ranked as the Best
Public School in Delhi State and one of the finest in the country in two consecutive
national surveys conducted by the national magazine “Outlook”. She also held the
post of the Vice Chairperson of the National Progressive Schools Conference (2004-2006),
as well as the Chairperson of the Sahodaya Group of Schools – Delhi chapter (2001
to 2003).
She has been a member on many executive committees in prestigious educational bodies,
like the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, the National Council of Education Research
and Training, the Central Board of Secondary Education. She was also selected to
represent India in the UK Indian Education Research Initiative held at London. Besides
being on the management of a few prestigious schools. She is also a member of the
governing body of M.V.College of Education, - Delhi University as well as the Navodaya
Vidyalaya Sangathan.
In recognition of her progressive contribution to various aspects of Education,
Environment and Culture, she was honoured with many prestigious National Awards,
some of which are, the NCERT National award for Innovations in School Education,
The Dr. Radha Krishna Memorial Award for Excellence in Education and Social Work,
the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for Education and Culture as well as the National
Teachers Award by the then President of India Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.
She continues to work with dedication in imparting value based integral education.
